And we're off....

Happy Harbour Festival everyone! Have a fabulous time over the next three days.

We hope you enjoy the vast array of events on offer. Pop along to the Festival Stall on the Folly (by the Reaper) and say hi, pick up a programme and grab some raffle tickets...there's some super prizes up for grabs.

Unfortunately, the planned hot food truck on the pier can't make it on Saturday and Sunday (just there on Friday), but worry not. There are lots of amazing food places around the town to keep tummies happy and thirsts quenched.

Also, the RNLI station is holding their annual open day on Saturday and they will have hot food available from their BBQ on the Pier.

Look out for our volunteers in their yellow Hi-Vis vests or pop to the Festival stall if you need any help or information.

The final countdown!

Just 3 days until we welcome you all to the start of what we hope will be a fabulous festival.

The Ceilidh by the Coast tickets are now sold out! Thanks to everyone who's bought a ticket.

There are only a few tickets remaining for Miracle Glass Company on Saturday evening so get in quick!

There's still availability for the Scottish Show, Sea Shanty Workshop and Whaling Garland Workshop and also for our fantastic Sunday night Headliner Nati (with support from Niamh Corkey). Check out the "Ticketed Events" and "Music" pages for tickets.

Raffle tickets will be available during the festival to help raise funds for next year's event. We have some brilliant prizes from our very generous local businesses so pop along to the Festival Stall on the Folly to get your tickets.

Finally, we've confirmed the line-up for the Busker's Zone (at the Herring Ring, on the harbour). Find all the details HERE.

August 2026

With less than 4 weeks now to the start of the festival everything is coming together nicely. We're confirming details across the programme so keep checking the website for updates and info...the release of the full programme is just around the corner!

As part of the Festival, we are running a new community-focused free event. Come along to Anstruther Town Hall between 11am and 2pm on Saturday 29th August to find out about many of our local groups and services. With 18 confirmed organisations attending and a range of entertainment planned, expect craft activities with dance and music performances; discover volunteering opportunities in conservation, creative arts and local history; learn about our local area and the work being undertaken to preserve it; find out about services available locally. Light refreshments will also be available.

A quick note for all you regulars! This year's Kid's Disco will be in the Town Hall rather than the marquee on the pier (Sat 29th, 2:30 - 4:30pm).

To all the fantastic bands and artists who applied to play at the 2026 Anstruther Harbour Festival...

As with previous years we have been inundated, with applications far outweighing the available slots. If you weren't successful this year please do apply next time!

We will be announcing the full line up in the next few days, so keep an eye out on Facebook and the website for that!

We'll also be contacting musicians who have expressed an interest in the busker zone with further info about this year's plans! This was a huge success last year and we hope to run it over both Saturday and Sunday this year.

Crowdfunder is now live!

We're very grateful to everyone that has supported us so far this year including Fife Council, Fife Strategic Events Fund, The Community Kist, The Kinburn Trust, East Neuk of Fife Probus Club, Anstruther Fish Bar, East Neuk Cruising Club and Anstruther Rotary Club.

Although this funding goes a long way to help cover our costs, we still need a bit more so have launched our 2026 Crowdfunding Campaign

March 2026

We're excited to announce our music Headliners for this year's Festival.

The talented Fife singer and songwriter, Nati, will headline on Sunday night to close the festival and Scottish band, Miracle Glass Company, will headline on Saturday evening. Head to our Music page for more details.

There are many more artists to be announced over the coming weeks so keep an eye on our music page and social media.

February 2026

Our planning and preparations are continuing at pace. We're delighted to have received so many applications for both our festival music and for our stalls.

The music applications have now closed and we're working hard to finalise the line-up and notify applicants. Headliner announcements coming soon!

There's a slight extension to the closing date for stallholder applications and these will now close on 17th February.

January 2026

Festival preparation are progressing well with both the Music and Stalls applications now open.

Due to the work currently being undertaken in Anstruther to develop the new lifeboat shed, the car park in front of the beach is out of use and the other car park on the folly (which we usually use for part of the festival marketplace) needs to remain open for parking. This means our marketplace space will be reduced this year but we'll still have a great range of local makers both indoors and outdoors.

Applications for Music will close at the end of January.

Applications for stalls will close on 14 February 2026.
